Alt headline - "A Pole Grows in South Philly". Zee Gross reports:

Less than weeks after it was installed, the state historical marker honoring the Italian Market was vandalized, the Streets Department confirmed yesterday...The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission marker, installed Oct. 12, recognizes the "South Ninth Street Curb Market," and has upset some local Italian-Americans because the text doesn't refer to the "Italian Market."

Personally, I believe this is as good of a time as any to begin hoisting the blame for everything on SugarHouse. So in ascending order of indignation, "Curb Market Edition" - the Ice House, L&I, the defaced historical marker, Joey Vento. SugarHouse, SugarHouse...a million times, SugarHouse!
